Peter Horricks came to the United States from Canada in 1980 to attend Physical Therapy school in California at Loma Linda University. It was during this time that he met a California girl, Renay Meyer, in the nursing program and decided to stay in the United States. Two years later when they got married they only had two bicycles, two dogs and a desire to move somewhere to start a new life. In June of 1987, Pete convinced Renay to move to Fredericksburg, Virginia and pursue a dream to start his own private physical therapy practice. They were both taught from an early age that hard work is the only way to achieve your goals in life. Renay made the drive each day to work at MCVH in Richmond, VA. in the pediatric emergency room while Pete started his physical therapy business.
Peter Horricks started his private practice in the Fredericksburg and Stafford areas with one machine in a small room one patient at a time. Through hard work, dedication and a true caring for his patients, he built his practice into both a Stafford and Fredericksburg location. For over 30 years he has served this community and built his business on reputation and recommendation. Together Pete and Renay raised two children, Brianna and Taylor, who attended Colonial Forge and Mountain View high schools.
They both went on to attend Virginia Tech and Virginia Commonwealth Universities.
Taylor now has his Doctor of Physical Therapy and has taken over the managing of the Stafford clinic location. He treats patients with the same individual and attentive care that his father has for so many years. Brianna is a Veterinarian at Ferry Farm Animal Clinic. She has dedicated the last 6 years to serving the animal care needs of the surrounding communities.
Pete Horricks is committed to continuing the individualized, quality treatments and evidence based physical therapy for our patients. For more than thirty years, he has provided his patients with top-tier treatment and care. Each patient’s specific needs are taken into consideration in their plan of care. We want them to feel like they are an important part of our family and that they are being provided the best care for their recovery. We welcome you to become part of our trusted Stafford and Fredericksburg Physical Therapy families.
